Hi! If you're here, you probably belong to the group of people who believe that a dog bed doesn't have to be hidden in a corner behind the sofa. It can be its most beautiful addition. Our boucle fabric (that distinctive "sheepskin" texture) is an interior design hit, but we know what's on your mind: "Will it really survive an encounter with my dog?".
We have good news for you: Pieski Dwa is not just design. It's textiles for special tasks. Sit back, take a sip of coffee, and we'll tell you how to care for this beauty so it serves you for years.
1. Solid base, or what's hidden in the loops
Before we get to care, a little technical detail (because premium quality has its numbers!). Our boucle is not just any upholstery fabric.
-
Weight of 450 g/m² means that the fabric is thick and dense. It won't wear out after a few months of intensive "nesting" by your dog.
-
Martindale test at 50,000 cycles is already professional league. For comparison: standard home sofas have around 20-30 thousand. Your bed is ready for thousands of dog naps.
2. Daily love (read: vacuuming)
Boucle has this wonderful feature that thanks to its structure... it hides fur perfectly. But let's be honest, the sand after a walk has to disappear somewhere.
-
Our advice: Once a week (or more often, if the weather doesn't spoil us) refresh the bed with a vacuum cleaner with a soft nozzle. Boucle loops are tight, so sand does not penetrate deep into the structure. A quick "pass" with the nozzle is enough to refresh the appearance of the bed.
3. Stress-free washing (step-by-step instructions)
Spilled coffee? Muddy paw? Don't worry. Our covers are removable, because we know that life with a dog can be... intense.
-
Temperature: Throw the cover in the washing machine at 30°C (delicate program). This is enough to refresh the fabric and get rid of stains.
-
Detergents: Choose mild ones. Remember that the dog has its nose right next to the material – strong, chemical smells can bother it.
-
Drying: Boucle loves naturalness. Do not use a tumble dryer – lay the cover flat. Thanks to the high weight, the material will retain its shape and structure without the need for ironing.
4. Safety you can feel under the paw
When writing about caring for the bed, we cannot skip caring for... your dog. Our fabric has the Oeko-Tex Standard 100 certificate and is compliant with REACH standards. What does that mean in "human" language? That it is free from harmful substances and safe for your pet, even if it likes to bury its nose deep in the loops of the material. This is a foundation for us – luxury must be safe.
Does boucle pull?
We hear this question often! Thanks to the dense weave, our boucle is exceptionally resistant to dog claws. Of course, if your dog tries to dig its way to China in its bed, it's worth regularly trimming its nails – it's a good practice for its health and the durability of your home textiles.
A word from Pieski Dwa: We want our products to be part of your lazy mornings together. Caring for boucle is easier than it seems, and the visual effect... well, just look at your dog sleeping on this "cloud". It's worth it, right?
