"Norka" (Burrow) dog bed in dark grey, a warm and soft bed with a cover
Some dogs have their own way of getting a good rest: crawl under a cover, spin around a few times, and leave only their nose visible. The "Norka" (Burrow) Graphite dog bed by Pieski Dwa gives them space for these small, everyday rituals. A soft base and fur interior create a cozy place for sleeping, snuggling, and peaceful resting after a walk.
Dark graphite gives the "Norka" a distinct yet understated character. It pairs well with wood, light-colored fabrics, black details, and muted greens. It is a color that allows you to incorporate a dog bed into the decor of your living room or bedroom with the same care as you choose your other home textiles.
Bed with a cover for dogs who like to burrow
If your dog regularly disappears under a blanket or looks for a spot between cushions, a burrow-style bed might suit their preferences. The cover allows them to slip inside and snuggle close to the soft fabric, especially during the autumn and winter seasons.
The "Norka" is a suggestion for, among others, dachshunds and Italian greyhounds, but when choosing, the habits of your specific dog are what matter most. It will work well for any pet that enjoys sleeping under a cover, regardless of breed.
On colder days, your dog can rest inside, wrapped in a furry layer. When they feel like a more open nap, they can lie on top of the bed. Thanks to this, the "Norka" gives them a choice of where and how to rest all year round.
High-quality graphite top and ribbed faux fur: two sides of comfort and durability.
We crafted the top of the bed from soft, pet-friendly chenille fabric. It is pleasant to the touch, durable, and easy to maintain. Its tactile texture adds depth to the dark grey color, and the matte finish fits well into calm, refined interiors.
We finished the interior with a ribbed, pet-friendly faux fur fabric, soft and gentle against your dog's body. The pile does not tangle or mat, which helps maintain the cozy structure of the interior.
This combination makes the "Norka" plush and snuggly, both when the dog crawls under the cover and when they are resting on top of it.
A cushion with adjustable filling
The base of the "Norka" consists of a removable cushion with hybrid filling: a blend of high-quality upholstery foam flakes and silicone fiberballs. It provides soft support during sleep and lazy time at home.
The cushion has its own zipper, allowing you to adjust the amount of filling. If your dog likes a fuller, more stuffed bed, leave it in its current form. If they prefer a flatter surface, you can remove some of the filling to tailor the cushion to their preferences.
The access to the cushion is located at the bottom of the bed.
Anti-slip bottom with a paw print pattern
When a dog crawls under a cover and gets settled, the bed should have a stable base. The anti-slip fabric with a paw print pattern used on the bottom helps reduce the shifting of the "Norka."
You can place the bed on the floor or on the sofa if that is where your dog prefers to be. Ensure the entire base is supported so your pet can comfortably get in and out.
Removable cover for easier refreshing of the bed
We designed the "Norka" with daily use in mind, even when it is time for a wash. After removing the inner cushion, the cover can be machine washed at 30°C.
The detachable construction facilitates the regular maintenance of your dog's sleeping spot. Detailed washing instructions can be found on the product tag.
Which size of "Norka" should you choose for your dog?
The "Norka" Graphite bed is available in three sizes:
-
S: 65 × 50 cm — for small dogs, e.g., Chihuahuas and Yorkshire Terriers, roughly up to 5 kg.
-
M: 80 × 60 cm — for Italian Greyhounds and other dogs, roughly up to 14 kg.
-
L: 100 × 70 cm — for larger dogs, e.g., Greyhounds and Pointers, roughly around 25 kg.
Weight is a guideline, not the only selection criterion. Pay attention to the body length, build of the dog, and the position in which they sleep most often. In the "Norka," they should be able to turn around freely and position themselves comfortably under the cover.
If your dog is between sizes or likes to stretch their legs while napping, consider the larger option.
